Frequently Asked Questions

You will find our customers most frequently asked questions listed below. If you have a question that is not covered on this page, please contact us

Why is a Rhino Linings Sprayed on ute liner better than a drop in liner?

Unlike standard plastic drop-in ute liners, Rhino Lining's sprayed-on TUFF STUFF polyurethane provides durable, watertight and airtight ute bed protection. By forming a permanent bond with the surface of your ute bed, the lining prohibits rust, corrosion and surface abrasion from damaging the ute and reducing its value, performance and attractiveness.

The unique flexible, textured, non-porous lining is easy to clean and doesn't crack or warp, even under the most rugged conditions. Rhino's non skid, non abrasive surface texture helps keep you cargo load in place and insulates against annoying road vibration and noise.

How thick is the lining?

On ute beds, we spray a minimum of 4mm on the floor and the wheel wells and 2mm on the side walls. Both thicker and thinner linings can be sprayed for other applications as appropriate. For an additional charge, you may also request your ute be sprayed to "industrial spec".

Can I take it out?

Rhino Linings sprayed-on ute linings are designed to provide permanent protection for your vehicle. The lining performs so well, you'll surely never want or need to remove it.

Does my ute liner have a warranty?

Yes. Your TUFF STUFF liner is covered by a Nationwide Lifetime Warranty. The warranty covers defects in workmanship and material for as long as you own the ute.

Does the lining require special maintenance?

To keep the lining clean, wash it as you would the rest of your vehicle, or just hose it out with water. Do not use silicon based products on your lining, as they will reduce its skid resistance. Periodically applying our Rhino Shine Ultra after cleaning will keep the lining in top condition.

How long does it take to do the job?

3-5 hours with appointment. The cleanliness and condition of the bed and whether we are spraying under, or over the edge of the rail, as well as the colour will effect the amount of time it will take to do the job.

Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes. We do recommend that you make an appointment. That way we can get your ute out in the shortest amount of time possible. But walk-in's are always welcome.

How soon does the liner dry?

The liner will be dry to the touch when you leave. We ask you leave the tailgate down overnight, and do not use the bed for 24 hours.

Are there any colours other than black?

Yes. We have a range of standard colours, although Black is by far the most popular. We can also do custom colours and colour matching. UV topcoats are also available.

What about the installation of other accessories on my ute?

Accessories are best installed after the lining is applied. You should pre-drill all holes, then have TUFF STUFF polyurethane sprayed on to seal exposed edges before mounting accessories. The linings follow the contours of your ute bed, allowing you to install canopies, tonneau covers or any other truck accessories that were made to fit your ute.

Will the lining hold up in rugged conditions and temperature extremes?

Yes! Rhino Linings will not warp, crack, peel or split because of weather or other environmental factors. Rhino Linings works and looks great in temperatures between -40 degrees C and 80 degrees C.

Can you spray other things?

Almost anything your imagination can come up with. Including metal, wood, fibreglass, concrete and some plastics can be coated with Rhino Linings polyurethane.

Are your formulations environmentally friendly?

Absolutely! Our formulations contain no VOCs or CFCs.

How much does it cost to spray my ute?

The price for ute liners starts at around $560.00 + gst. The size, colour, condition of the bed and whether we are spraying under, or over the edge of the rail, just over the tailgate etc will effect the price you will pay.
